The MoWHS—through the Bhutan Second Urban Development Project (BUDP-II)—is conducting the users’ training on the Revenue Management System and the Digitized Asset Register for the Phuentsholing Thromde at the College of Science and Technology, Rinchending.
The training on the two systems will reorient the users on the new and improved functionalities and features incorporated in last one to two years of implementing the systems in the Phuentsholing Thromde. Although the systems were developed starting from 2012 and implemented thereafter, much was left to desire in terms of actual operationalization. The RMS will help the Thromde to manage the collection of tax and non-tax revenues efficiently for enhanced revenue collection, while the DAR will help to manage the Thromde’s assets for proper usage and maintenance thereof for the investments made in infrastructure development thus far.
It is expected that with the training conducted on the two systems for the users of the Thromde, the collection of tax and non-tax revenues will be done efficiently and effectively, with the start of tax collection season for 2017.
The users’ training on the RMS and the DAR is being conducted from 16-20 October 2017, with support from the World Bank’s IDA Credit financing for Component of BUDP-II.
